The demand for wedding video grows.....

Wedding Video has become a very popular trend in the industry the past 5 years or so. It used to be the stepchild to photography, but it’s popularity is growing VERY quickly. The Knot did a study and wedding video was close to 20th on the list of importance before the wedding, but after the wedding it moved into the Top 5!

The past few years, wedding budgets have tightened up a bit due to the economy and Video has always been an easy one to cut out of the budget. I personally got a wedding video of my special day and it’s always been very special to be able to sit down with my lovely wife and relive the day whenever we want to! Here are some things to consider when trying to squeeze wedding video into the budget.

1) Photography is wonderful, a must, and will never go away. BUT Videography is your ONLY opportunity to relive the biggest day of your life whenever you want to!

2) Wouldn’t it be cool when planning your wedding to be able to watch the Wedding Day of your parents? I can’t wait to show my kids our wedding someday!

3) Video will capture people in your life that will not be here forever. My grandpa passed away shortly after our special day and it was such a blessing to have video of him saying some special things to my wife and me.

4) Brides today are doing everything they can to make their wedding day unique and different from all of their friends. It is very hard to do this with decor, food, etc…. For over a year now Complete Music & Video has been providing a product called the “Same Day Edit”. Imagine this, you show up to your reception with a warm welcome from your guests. The DJ escorts you to the head table and grabs a drink for you on the way. Tables start being released for dinner, which then is wrapped up with a special toast from your friends and family. At this point in the evening we have captured the attention of all your quests and the focus is on you. Instead of rolling right into your First Dance (which you have been waiting your entire life for) a beautiful highlight video of your day is shown on the big screen. At the end of the video there isn’t a dry eye in the house which leads PERFECTLY into your first dance…..pretty amazing huh?

Well here is an example of a piece just done a few weeks ago by Complete Video. Pretty crazy to think this piece was shot, edited, shown and delivered to the client the SAME DAY!

I hope your persepective of Wedding Video has changed!!
